First-Time Machine Applique
Techniques: applique
Sorry, this item is currently not available for purchase.
This is a good instructional book for those machine appliqueing for the first time or for those who want a good reference close at hand. There are nine easy lessons for preparing, arranging, and stitching using two techniques: fusible web and turned-under edge. Some of the basic stitches used are zigzag, blanket, and blind hem stitching, but I was so excited to see that the author had included instructions on how to use free-motion, utility, and decorative stitching for an artful look to the applique piece. Included in the back of the book are a variety of four projects which use all the lessons learned as well as inspirations throughout the book. Since taking a look through this book I have decided to go through each lesson and brush up on the techniques and also to learn something new using the decorative stitches.
