Since my beds are pretty well covered with big quilts that I love right now, I've decided to concentrate on making smaller projects, and Little Quilts in the Coop has some great projects that fill the bill. In fact, there's not one quilt in this jam-packed little book that I wouldn't make. Top of the list is the flag "Star Spangled Banner" - since my craft room is decorated with my favorite Americana things, it's a must do. I really love the combination of piecing and embroidery plus the addition of felted wool stars. Probably next will be the "Primitive Home" quilt - at only 16" X 16", I'm sure I'll be able to find a place for it in the entry way. After that, I'm not sure, but "The Flower Girl" will be perfect for spring; and "The Blue Waltz" would be fun to make in my favorite black & tans. My idea right now is to do two, and reverse the colors - they'd be perfect for the back of the chairs in the great room. Well, it looks like I have plenty of projects lined up to keep me busy for a while. These small ones don't take long to make, and they're perfect to finish up while watching TV in the evenings.
