Who can resist a little quilt, especially when it’s scrappy and made of antique reproduction fabrics? I delight in the miniature darlings and cannot get enough of them. I constructed a number of them and their population is growing all over my home. This book contains a smattering of projects, sixteen in all, of traditional designs right out of the past. Each not taking a day to construct, will titillate your creative bent. The projects are particularly advantageous for the beginner needing to learn basic techniques such as half-square triangles, flying geese, English Paper Piecing, and more. It's quite beneficial to learn on small quilts as they are assembled quickly, giving the piecer a variety of opportunities for learning techniques and developing piecing skills. The author provides a lovely introduction filled with fabric tips and tricks, as well as some more unusual perspectives such as building a fabric wardrobe. If that doesn't peak your curiosity, perhaps the handful of antique pincushions made from teeny weeny quilt blocks might. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I do!
