Vintage Vibes is aptly named, and ultimately the modern mixed with traditional is what first drew me to the book. I love the traditional, graphic designs re-imagined in different sizes, orientations, and color schemes that are tailored to a more contemporary aesthetic. The Growing Up quilt is a good example, it’s a simple design that has been enlarged and uses bright graphic prints that pop off of a grey background – so fun! I also love the Pretty Petals quilt that is big dresdens with oversized centers in a softer palette accompanied by a matching sham. There are also some lovely smaller projects like Big Baby , Rainy Day Table Runner, and Scrap Jars which are all great for using up scraps. All in all there are 14 great projects that cover a range of tastes and sizes, a great addition to any quilter’s bookshelf!
