Pinwheel Plaid Pattern

Because of the large patch size, this quilt is a great way to showcase a collection of large scale prints. The quilt shown uses a stripe for the sashing in between the blocks. However, another idea is to use a tone-on-tone or a solid, which would provide a nice break if you're using a busy collection of prints. The center pinwheels are the same in all of the blocks in order to bring a sense of unity to the design.

Fabric Requirements

• 1 1/8 yards Black Texture (pinwheels, binding)
• 1/2 yard Ivory Weave (pinwheels)
• 1/2 yard each of 8 Assorted Prints (blocks)
• 1 yard Stripe (sashing)
• 1 1/4 yards Cream Texture (borders)
• 3 7/8 yards Backing

77" x 94"

• 1 1/2 yards Black Texture (pinwheels, binding)
• 3/4 yard Ivory Weave (pinwheels)
• 3/4 yard each of 8 Assorted Prints (blocks)
• 1 1/4 yards Stripe (sashing)
• 1 3/4 yards Cream Texture (borders)
• 5 5/8 yards Backing

94" x 94"

• 1 3/4 yards Black Texture (pinwheels, binding)
