As the author, Lori Smith puts it, “easy quilt patterns that are perfect for that abundant fat-quarter collection waiting to be used”. I love that! There isn’t a pattern in this book that I don’t like! Every quilt is very different, nostalgic and traditional. The piece work for this bevy of little quilts includes appliqué, reverse appliqué, foundation piecing and finishes with hand quilting. Since the quilts are small its reasonable to hand quilt them and a great way for beginning hand quilters to practice their skill. Also, as the author, Lori Smith points out, this is a great way to develop your sense of color and skill at color combinations, as you create each little quilt.
