I’ve been fascinated by ATC’s (artist trading cards) for awhile, but haven’t taken the plunge yet. This book is making me take the plunge! Inchie quilts are made the same way as ATC’s and fabric postcards – using fabric, batting, stiffener and embellishments, but because they are so tiny, the design possibilities are even more interesting! Nadine plays around with Inchies and successfully answers the question, “Inchies are cool, but what do you do with them?”
These are miniature works of art, but Nadine frames them on a quilt or larger background. Her book is chock full of ideas to get your creative juices flowing. With just a teeny bit of fabric and a lot of freedom, you can have a beautiful art quilt filled with inchies in no time! I have the fabric all picked out for mine!
