Machine Freehand Patterns introduces a new concept in machine quilting called Faux Pantographs. While longarm machine quilters have traditionally used rolled patterns worked by tracing the line with a stylus or laser light, Faux Pantos are worked freehand using the quilt block itself as a guide. Building upon easy geometric shapes, the book moves on to allover designs using one or multiple motifs, along with designs for sky, clouds, water, and leaves. These freehand designs are for any type of machine—home, midarm or longarm—and can also be used for hand quilting.
