I’ve fallen in love with Dresden plates in my quilting, so when I saw this book I was immediately drawn in. The quilt patterns are so creative and fun—I want to make the Dresden Sampler (shown on the cover). When I read through Thoroughly Modern Dresden, it’s obvious that Anelie has a true passion for her subject. Along with the quilt patterns and Dresden history, she includes directions and templates for her newly developed construction technique. I normally use English Paper Piecing to create my Dresden plates, but Anelie’s book has me intrigued. Next time I think I’ll try her new “quick and easy” method.
