I’ve been a big fan of all things Debbie Mumm for many years, and this book is no exception. In this adorable new book, Debbie offers lots of fresh ideas for making something perfect for any new bundle of joy in your life.
One of the things that drew me to this book was the fact that not only are there many darling quilts for little boys and girls to choose from, but this book also contains patterns and instructions for things like diaper bags, lamps, wall hangings, valances, headboards, and many other accessories that all coordinate together to complete the ensemble. With over 50 projects in a variety of themes to choose from, this is so much more than just a quilt book. It is really a book about pulling together an entire room for a child. And since the themed projects go together so perfectly, it takes the guess work out of decorating.
I like the clear instructions and diagrams that Debbie uses for all the projects in this book. They are very easy to follow, even for those who are less experienced at either quilting or making crafts. I also love that the designs grow with the children. They can be used from newborn to early elementary school age children, which means little ones won’t soon outgrow all your hard work.
Even though my own children are getting a little too old for this book, I fell in love with all the wonderful projects. I found myself wishing this book existed 10 years ago! Fortunately I have a lot of friends and family with little ones that I can spoil with the adorable quilts and projects in this book.
