Doodlebug Day Camp offers 8 fun projects that will delight any child in your life.
A couple of the projects caught my eye right off as they would have been something I would have loved to have as a kid.
The first, and most ambitious for me, is the Card Table Playhouse. This takes the old "blanket fort" to a whole new level. There is just something irresistible about crawling under a table draped in fabric! This project will appeal to both boys and girls depending on fabric selection and choice of one of the styles shown. I'm already planning one for my granddaughter.
The next project I want to try is one of the Stuft Nappers. Softer than a sleeping bag, these use bed pillows and remind me of a Japanese futon-perfect to have for sleepovers. The Reader's Corner is a similar project but uses large pillow forms that hook together providing a soft back to lean against. As a kid, my nose was always in a book and this would have been fun to settle into for an afternoon of reading.
Also included are patterns for a quilt with matching sham, campfire cushions, backpacks, and water bottle slings. Add in some imagination and your youngster will be well equipped for their next great adventure.
