If you're as big a fan of interesting buildings and architectural details as I am, this book is for you! Gloria Loughman shows you how to transform a unique doorway, window, or outdoor scene into a stunning work of art. Her lessons on using color, cropping, and perspective to maximize the visual effect of your project were very useful, and I found her guide to choosing fabrics to mimic wood and brick, as well as trees and sky, fascinating. Once the shapes have been cut out, she uses fusible web to layer the fabrics together and stitch around the edges. She encourages decorative stitching to create texture and visual interest. I found the end results beautiful and I can't wait to try making one myself!
