There is something really fun about projects that make use of selvages. Part of the appeal is the fact that you are using something that would normally be thrown away, but another part is that some of the selvages are beautiful. In a lot of cases a lot of time and thought is put into the fonts used and designs added. I have made a mug rug using selvages and I used a few of my favorite collections at the time, it's like a tiny memory quilt!
