I’ve always been a fan of Heather Mulder Peterson’s designs, and I own several of her books. I especially love how easy she makes it to finish a quilt top. She streamlines the piecing process and finds new ways to simplify projects so they become easy enough for beginners.
Heather has outdone herself with her new book, Sizzlin’ Sixties. This book has nine fun projects, all using a 60 degree ruler and 2-1/2” wide strips to make darling hexagon blocks that can be sewn together in a variety of ways. Heather also gives cutting directions for fat quarters, which I love since I have a lot of fat quarters in my stash.
Heather’s simplified process makes everything sew together in a snap, and there are no fussy Y seams to deal with! I think the only thing Heather forgot to put in her book is a warning label because all of the quilts contained in this book might become addicting! I think I might just have to make them all!
