There are a wide variety of sizes from bed size to lap size and baby size quilts. Also, they have used a variety of color schemes for inspiration in using 30’s reproduction fabrics, pastels, batiks, country colors, brights, florals, and Christmas reds and greens. With the large block sizes these quilts will sew up quickly. The Penny quilt, Scrap Happy quilt, Tailwinds, and Chutes & Ladders would all be great made with flannels. The Odds ‘n Ends quilt lends itself for using charm packs. Echos has the look of stained glass with many different bright colored window panes offset with dark sashing. The authors also give suggestions for different colorways. I especially love the Goulash quilt with each set of 4 bear paw blocks set with saw tooth sashing strips. This would use up a lot of scraps!
I can’t wait to get started using up my stash on the quilts in this book. Then I can buy more fabric!
