For those of you who love the education behind quilting, this book is an absolute must! I love to collect educational quilt books but particularly books of block patterns, so as each book comes through the office, I keep my eagle eye out for these little gems.
The Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns is a large and lovely hard-bound book. All the blocks are featured in Jinny Beyer's signature dark, rich colors. The blocks are organized in a very logical fashion based on a grid system, symmetry of design and similarity of design. You are given each block in color and then a line drawing. It is particularly helpful to have both block options available if you are intending to create your own quilt design. And for true artists, there is a section on drafting! Love it!!! This book was most certainly a MUST for my library!
