Uncommonly Corduroyby Stephanie Dunphy
Corduroy is back! This book demonstrates how versatile and easy-to-use corduroy is; you can even recycle those pants you never wear anymore. You'll be impressed by the projects Stephanie creates; she combines both quilting fabric and corduroy to make totes, bags, and a variety of quilts perfect for snuggling up with. Stephanie’s design aesthetic is always impeccable. I especially love how she encourages us in this book to think out of the quilter’s cotton box by mixing in corduroy for these fun projects. Don’t worry if you don’t know anything about corduroy, Stephanie covers all you need to know so you can pick out corduroy for your next project. Her bags have always been fun to make and the new bags using corduroy are no exception, but I think I would have to say Plenty of Raindrops is my favorite project in the book and probably where I will start first. Now, I head to my local fabric story to find the perfect corduroy to go with my stash.
