Uncommonly Corduroy when it was still in the conception stage. Since I am the Pattern Coordinator here at Connecting Threads, I have had the privilege of getting to know Stephanie and she has become one of my favorite people of all time. So you can imagine how I have been sitting on the edge of my seat for her first book.
Stephanie’s design aesthetic is always impeccable. I especially love how she encourages us in this book to think out of the quilter’s cotton box by mixing in corduroy for these fun projects. Don’t worry if you don’t know anything about corduroy, Stephanie covers all you need to know so you can pick out corduroy for your next project. Her bags have always been fun to make and the new bags using corduroy are no exception, but I think I would have to say Plenty of Raindrops is my favorite project in the book and probably where I will start first. Now, I head to my local fabric story to find the perfect corduroy to go with my stash.
