We quilters know it takes time to get ready for any holiday, especially
Christmas, so in order to give you lots of time to get your projects
done, the majority of our Christmas prints come out in June/July. (Yes
we know you still wait until November to actually sew the stuff, but
let’s all just continue to pretend this will be the year we get it
together and start early.)
I am beyond excited to finally show you the big reveal of my
embroidery pillow design that I’ve been teasing you with for the past
Oh, my, gosh!!! What fun, I love it, I love it, I love it!!! The most
awesome part is… I know you know what I’m talking about… Here is our
place of extraordinary fun. Quilt retreat on the second floor and quilt
shop on the first floor. A design made in heaven to be sure!
This past weekend was Quilt Market for Spring/Summer 2013 in Portland.
I’m so glad it was held in Portland this year because I live in
Portland, and for as long as I’ve worked at Connecting Threads I’ve
wanted to attend. So this year was perfect! And oh what a lot to
see!! Quilt Market is strictly for people in the industry, but for me
personally it was a tool for inspiration.
I look at my job as part ship captain, part circus ring leader, and part
janitor. I am in charge of keeping everyone moving in the same
direction, on schedule, and clean up any messes along the way.
