Since I enjoy working with batiks, it was fun to look for
archived Connecting Threads (CT) patterns to combine with our new Fall/Winter 2013 batiks. It always amazes me how different a quilt can look when made
in a different color scheme or design theme. I hope you like these new
renditions of two CT favorites as much as I do!
It was fascinating to watch Jenni’s watercolor of sunflowers, pumpkins, and fall foliage evolve into the stunning fabrics of the Sun Kissed Harvest collection. I love Autumn Blanket, an unusual geometric, strippy-quilt design made with the Sun Kissed Harvest fabrics.
I am beyond excited to finally show you the big reveal of my
embroidery pillow design that I’ve been teasing you with for the past
This past weekend was Quilt Market for Spring/Summer 2013 in Portland.
I’m so glad it was held in Portland this year because I live in
Portland, and for as long as I’ve worked at Connecting Threads I’ve
wanted to attend. So this year was perfect! And oh what a lot to
see!! Quilt Market is strictly for people in the industry, but for me
personally it was a tool for inspiration.
Another sneak peek at my upcoming embroidery design!
