My newest collection... Botanical Beauty

I’m pretty excited that Botanical Beauty is finally out!  Last spring I went to the Rhododendron Gardens here in Portland, and was simply taken away.  It’s a hidden gem of a garden, and right around Mother’s Day is when the rhododendrons as well as many of the other flowers are in full bloom.  It’s such a beautiful sight.  I was instantly inspired by all the surrounding beauty, so when I started designing this collection I was filled with ideas.

When Christmas came to a close on Gifty Galore (QWU) this year, we really needed something to look forward to making. Gifty Galore offers six months of wonderful projects with a new one posted each week from June through December. When the season comes to a close it’s such a disappointment to be left with nothing to make so, Teri and I put our creative heads together and came up with a series of candle mats.

Last Minute Stockings to Stuff

I planned to make some stockings last weekend, to put small gifts and holiday treats in for friends and family, but I got a cold. This week, I decided it was not too late!  I downloaded the Connecting Threads' free pattern for Homespun Christmas Stockings and promised myself I would only use fabric from my stash.
