Last year when we were asked what we would really like to get for Christmas for our Staff Wish List, I decided to shoot for the moon. I have always heard you should dream big. I really wanted one of the Easy Display Quilt Hangers. They are beautiful and made out of nice quality wood. Well, guess what? I didn’t get it! None of my coworkers bought it for me. Those jerks! Ha ha.

This year I decided not to aim so high; so maybe I will actually get what I want. I am going to fill out the Connecting Threads Wish List and email it to everyone I know, especially to my husband!
Although I still want the Quilt Hanger, I would really love to get one of the new Sew Straight Guide Rulers this year. They have a suction cup so they stick to your acrylic sewing table or insert. I have a quarter inch foot on my machine but once in a while I need a different seam width. Maybe then I will sew accurately! There I go dreaming again. What are you wishing for this year?

It's time again for Connecting Threads' favorite contest of the year: the Win Your Wish List contest!
While everyone here on the Connecting Threads team has been making our
gift giving lists and checking them twice, we've also been thinking
about what we'd like to find under the tree this season. That's why we
love Connecting Threads' Wish List.
Not only does it make it easy to keep track of everything on your lotto
list (you know, all the things you'd splurge on if you won the
lottery...), but it's also simple to drop your friends and family some
not-so-subtle hints now that the holidays are just around the corner.
Wouldn't it be nice to get the things you really want this year?

This Starlight Table Topper Pattern by Loraine Manwaring and Susan Nelsen from the book Holiday Wrappings,
has been a favorite of mine since this downloadable pattern went up on
our website. So, when it was chosen for Gifty, I snatched up the
opportunity to do this project. Once the cutting is complete, the
project actually sews up pretty fast and can be completed in 1-3 days
depending on your experience and speed.

When it came time to design Big Sky Lodge, I knew immediately I wanted to design a flannel group that was more masculine in nature, yet still gender neutral. We get lots of comments and requests and believe me, we do hear you and we do listen. In my time here, the few flannel groups we’ve had have been feminine and or baby themed, so it was definitely time for a more masculine group.

I’m a sucker for tags…all sorts of tags. So when I saw the Teddy and Frosty Gift Tags Pattern Download by Sipiweske Quilt Designs
I fell in love. They are incredibly adorable and several people in the
office have been eyeing them, so I have to be on guard to make sure they
don’t mysteriously disappear!
