Gathered Friends

The Gathered Friends quilt is a reminder of how important those we hold dear are to us. Built with blocks that intertwine, they have an appearance of holding one another together as dear friends. The block is a simple 9-Patch with half-square-triangles (HST) in the corners. The block is then set on point with additional HSTs which create a braided look. Truly an exercise in color placement, you will enjoy watching each block unfold and interlock as they are sewn together.

The Baroque Floral fabric from the Moonlit Blooms collection is just gorgeous, simply gorgeous. Sunset Jewels Table Runner does a good job of framing it in and providing the space needed to deliver a beautiful quilt. I think its voice is loud and clear! The colors are so saturated, and the black ground gives the blooms room to speak.
