Awe, isn't he so cute?! Perfect for the holiday season, this little snowman will bring a joyful cheer to your home. The December Candle Mat is constructed from Quilter's Candy fabric options. Applique, embroidery and half-square-triangles (HST) make up this cheerful project.
I'm sure you'll want to make a number of them as gifts for friends and
family. Certainly a quick sew, and easily created in a couple of hours.
You just need to be careful which way you turn the HSTs.
This is always a great idea for stocking stuffers, guild gifts, quilt
group gifts, or any occasion gift.. a travel tissue holder! This is a
double treat because it's mega quick to make (it took me 15
minutes!), and this is an early reveal of our new collection, Spring
Spritz Cookie Ornaments
I was looking for a project
that was portable and could be done in my lap while watching Karate and
cheerleading practices. I also wanted something that didn’t require
buying too many new supplies or would take too long to complete. Inspired by Tiny Obsessions
by Vicki Bellino, I decided to give English Paper Piecing (in
miniature) a try. Rather than adding a split loop to the Keychain
project, I thought a loop of invisible thread would turn these into
terrific Christmas tree ornaments.
How cute are these
placemats and napkins by Jo-Lydia’s
Attic?? They’re just so delightful and cheery and make me want to fill my
belly with a bowl full of jelly. ;] And, they were super easy to
I chose from the Quilter’s
Candy Prints because they’re not too busy yet still completely adorable! I
also chose the fake fur option on the placemats because I think the texture
makes them pop more. The fur would be cute on the napkins too of course, but
they wouldn’t fold as nicely and they’d make for messy wiping!
Your Christmas guests
will oooh and aaah over these charming Santa suits and caps!
As National Quilting Month winds down, it is time to make
some concluding comments about the March’s Mystery Quilt 2013 Quilt Along.
