In Sweet & Simple Patchwork Gifts: 25 Charming Projects to Make Using Classic Quilt Motifs by Hisako Arai and Yoko Sanjo, I was drawn to the Market Tote and coordinating Small Bag because I wanted to practice English Paper Piecing (EPP). As we enter into August, many of us begin to feel the end of summer approaching. Starting in September, the kids go back to school, the weather starts to cool off, and the number of family vacations dwindle down. Because we here at Connecting Threads aren't quite ready for summer to be over, we are offering up a fun giveaway with some of our favorite bright and cheery items.

It's a reeeeeally tough decision, but I think in the thread sets I'd
have to go with the Essential Garden thread set . . . in individual
spools, I guess I'd go with Surf and Fuchsia. They all look fantastic,

Oh, boy, how do you choose just one set? I decided to be practical and
choose the one that contained the colours I most use so that would be
the Fauna. I love brown tones.
For my spool choices, I went with my other love and chose the sprout and
goldenrod. I really like citrus colours and use them a lot in my
quilting.

I think the Rainbow Collection or is it the Farmer's Market? So difficult to choose. I love them all.

Yay! What better way to start the week than with a thread giveaway?!? I’d love to be able to enter but since I work here, they say I’m not allowed. Thus, unable to enter, I console myself with the thought that I get to be a part of the excitement and make some other quilter’s day!
One lucky grand prize winner will get a thread set of their choosing and two others will get 2 spools of thread in any color combination they want. I may be biased, but I personally love our thread and am so happy to have 33 new colors, giving us a new grand total of 90 colors in our cotton Essential Thread spools that we will have day in and day out.
