So many of the Gifty Galore members guessed today's project! Perhaps my hint this week was a bit too obvious. Yep, its a tea cozy. Its not just any tea cozy, its our own Sue's Teapot Cozy! However, instead of making it in the Love My Honey collection, I chose to make it in Charlottesville. If you remember back a couple of weeks I made that table runner in Charlottesville and loved it so much I thought a complementary tea pot cozy would be lovely.

The Charlottesville Collection is one of my favorites and I knew I had to make something out of it. I admired Kristin’s Apple River Table Runner Pattern when it was sewn up in previous collections so I decided to be brave and give it a try when the chance to sew the kit up in Charlottesville
presented itself. I will say I am really glad I did it even though it
was challenging. I ended up with a really cute table runner and a big
sense of accomplishment when I finished it!

I designed the January block for our Year in Stitches quilt along
to evoke the feeling of a cozy home on a cold winter night. Having a
snowman was an obvious choice for the front yard; somehow he morphed
into a friendly snow woman with a flowing scarf, red purse and a cheery
wave. I chose Batiks
which work well for landscape designs; the organic flow of the dyes
mimics the changes of color in nature.

I had so much fun designing the Just Desserts collection.

I
love to bake, and I love to eat sweets, so coming up with these images
was easy as pie. Ha! The only downside was that drawing the yummy
looking treats made me hungry! One of my favorite Christmas traditions
has always been to bake cookies to give as gifts for friends and loved
ones.

Jenni and I were thinking yesterday, "Hey, we have all our Merry
Minis samples hanging around: lets decorate!" So while we were going
through the piles of samples looking for our holiday quilts, look what
we found!

Wahoo! Our Advent Snowman Kit! I ran out to the store for some
delicious chocolate and we hung our darling Snowman and stuffed his
belly full of pockets with chocolate.

We also drew up a pocket schedule
for each person, so everyone in the office will be able to pick-a-pocket
four times! Yay!
Notice the first pocket at the top is empty...that was Jenni!
PS: If you want to make one of these cute guys for next year, they're on clearance right now!
