a little background information about Sipiweske Quilt Designs: I
started designing patterns back in 2003 and attended a couple of quilt
markets in the beginning, but lately it seems that the good old career
and family commitments have needed to come before my quilting career.
So I am super excited to be able to bring patterns to you through this

The colors and prints of Maple Skies
remind me of bright autumn days. We don’t get many of those up here in
the Northwest, so it is nice to have a fabric to help me remember those
beautiful days with warm colors and crisp air. This week for your Designer Download Patterns, I wanted to pick out a few of those patterns that a would help you bring a little of that Autumn magic into your home.

Maple Skies
is one of my favorite collections that I've designed to-date! I just
love the colors and the movement in this collection -- especially in the
focal print. This group immediately makes me think of Fall, with the
variety of colors reflective of the changing leaves in the season.

As I was pondering the design for the Squash Blossom Table Runner, I was relishing in the delight of completing the Bountiful Harvest Lap Quilt. How wonderful it was to move onto a lovely table runner. When creating multiple designs for the same collection, in this case, Maple Skies,
it is always wonderful to make them complementary so if someone wanted
two quilts for the same room they will be charming together, hence, the
vegetable theme.

While designing Bountiful Harvest
the Herringbone block seemed to mimic the whimsical border plaid. It
also gave opportunity to incorporate color elements from the whole
quilt. The Herringbone block has a little trick to building it. One
must use a partial seam to construct the block properly. It’s a simple
technique and is included in the pattern. This project requires
moderate piecing skills but the finished kit will produce such a beautiful quilt to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
