All Hallows Bash was a fun collection to design.  We’ve not had a Halloween group before, so I thought it was a great opportunity to design a fun and bright collection that encompasses iconic motifs like Jack O'Lanterns, ghosts, flying witches, spider webs, and bats!  I really wanted to evoke the night time colors of deep Periwinkle skies, as well as bright oranges and greens reminiscent of pumpkins and apples that time of year.

During the summer I like to work on finishing projects such as doing the FMQ for a quilt and I like to begin Christmas gifts. This summer I've also started to make lots of pot holder!

Let me start this off by admitting that I am a complete freak about Christmas. I absolutely love everything about it and am counting down the days till it's socially acceptable to begin decorating and filling my home with Christmas joy. In my mind that would be before Halloween, but I have to take my husband's opinion into consideration (boo!).

With that said, I naturally chose a very Christmasy pattern for Gifty Galore. I made the "simple stocking" of the Merry stocking set by Thimble Blossoms. Even if it was 80 degrees outside, I still sat at my sewing table quietly humming White Christmas and sewing up my stocking.

An old friend of mine is expecting her first child.  She’s due in October and she already knows it’s going to be a boy.  I had brunch with her a few weekends ago and after learning the latest info, it dawned on me how soon her due date is and that….I need to make the baby a quilt!  I immediately knew I wanted to use Wild One’s flannel collection.
