National Organizational Month: Shabby to Chic Storage!

I don't know about you, but the space in my house that I've been allotted for my sewing room is pretty tight. In fact, I share my sewing room with our guest bedroom. Fortunately, we don't often have guests over who stay the night. However, I just found out that we are expecting some out of town guests next month, and it became glaringly obvious that I needed to do something about storage for my in-progress projects.

I have a special fondness for the “Big T” block. I affectionately call it my “envelope” block because when colors are chosen carefully, the block is easily made to look like an envelope. This calls for specific gradation in color, and without it the effect is lost. Rhapsody of Reds has the selection needed to accomplish this.

Texas Hold'em

A few years back we had a red, white, and black collection, and I wanted to design a table runner using the Card Trick block, however, was not ready technically to write the pattern.  Guess what… ta-dah!!! Here it is, Texas Hold’em! It was designed narrow so as to take negligible space on a game table.
