The Holiday Season is upon us! It seems to start earlier every year, doesn't it? It's easy to get carried away in the hustle and bustle, glossing over this very special day. Here at Connecting Threads, we want to take some time to really appreciate the meaning of Thanksgiving.
Growing up, my family always gathered on Thanksgiving. We would sit around the table, sharing a wonderful meal, talking about the things for which we were thankful. My Grammie would always end with the same statement "I am thankful for my family, my health and another year to make more memories". Time has passed and my family is scattered across the country. We don't get to spend holidays together as much anymore, but I still remember the laughter and love we shared around that table years ago.
So what are we thankful for now? That's easy....we are thankful for YOU, our customers. Connecting Threads is a family owned company and we feel like you are a part of our family. It is our pleasure to offer you the products you can use to create family heirlooms which wrap your family in the warmth of your love. We are thankful that you come back to us, again and again, placing your trust in us. Finally we are thankful for all the future holds and another year to make memories. We will continue to listen to your feedback and meet your needs. We promise never to forget that YOU are the most important part of our family. Happy Thanksgiving, we hope that you have much to be thankful for this year.
Looking for a handy idea for holiday gift giving? Here is a cute Sewing Kit from our CT archives with pockets, a pincushion, and a needle case gathered up inside.
Yet again, my gifty galore project for this week is another project from Ayumi Takahashi's Patchwork, Please! As I've said before, this book
is full of wonderful projects. This time I chose the "Breakfast, Lunch
& Dinner Towels." This being one of the first projects in the book,
it quickly made its way onto my to-do list after the first time I
flipped through. Bright colors + text + linen = I'm sold. Since the
project was kitchen-oriented, I picked Nana's Pantry
as my collection of choice for this round. I love the vibrancy and
versatility of this collection and found it fun to mix and match prints for the different letters.
This is the Lasting Legacies Block of the Month, Block #1 for November. We are making two colorways of this block from the Lasting Legacies civil war collection. If you are interested in participating in our Lasting Legacies Quilt Along, feel free to join us. Just click here! Download the pattern for $5.99 or pick up the kit (which includes a FREE pattern!)
All are welcome and there is plenty of time to catch up as we are
constructing only two blocks a month. You will have access to all the
instruction located in the Discussion Forum to build the quilt along
with step-by-step images. This is a perfect project for beginners too!
