I was actually away this past weekend. It was our anniversary and we spent two days up in Strasburg Pennsylvania - we watched the play Jonah at the Sight and Sound theater which was amazing. We had just enough time to return home Sunday morning to attend church and then we attended our local parade - our church was advertising our upcoming VBS for the kids and my husband drove the decorated flatbed truck. I said I was doing nothing on Monday other than sewing (it's been a few months actually since I have) and I ended up pushmowing about an acre of the yard, planted more in our veggie garden, 3 loads of landry and cooked... then time was up! Will try again this weekend.

I worked on two quilts to give to Love, Inc. for children that will be placed into foster homes. Most of these children need something to love, something to cuddle up with to try to feel better & KNOW somebody cares. I'm making deer with many patches, and another one with some ladybugs & bright colors. I teach a church class of 10 ladies that will make a total of 40 quilts by 12/18. Makes me feel GOOD to try to make a little one feel better! I'll be cutting out two more today, and hold class tonight!

I am in the process of making a quilt, a new thing for me, I am quilting in sections. I am at a halt at the present time because a nephew is making me a sewing cabinet ( with a flat surface!). My present set up doesn't give me enough support to evenly stitch in the ditch. I love how the quilt is coming together and would rather delay a bit than have squiggly seams! Otherwise I would have quilted all weekend!
