I absolutely adore bright, cheery colors and folk designs in the kitchen, so I couldn’t resist sewing up our Bag Ladies kit in Folk Heart.

I love projects that are also practical, and I think having one of these hanging close by will help my household save all the plastic grocery bags we bring in in a tidy way for later reuse or recycling. Since the kit makes two, I plan to give the other one to someone for Christmas—I haven’t quite decided who that lucky recipient is yet though! The great thing about this kit is that you get plenty of fabrics to make the two bags, so you can mix and match and customize them to your heart’s content. I think I’m partial to the one with the red ruffle apron--so cute!
