Ducks in a Row

As you can see I have all my ducks in a row! But let me tell you, it took a little time getting them there.

I was inspired by my son's love for his rubber duckies and so I decided I would design a cuddly duck out of our cozy flannels. Then the mania began. Who knew it would take so much tweaking to get the shape just the way I wanted it.

If you look closely you will see the evolution of the duck from the first simple shape, to camel duck – yes he really does have a hump. Then there were more shape changes, not to mention experimentation with bills, feet and wings.

Eventually Fuzzy was hatched and I've been very happy with him ever since. And yes, my son has a rubber ducky for his bath and now a fuzzy flannel ducky for bedtime.
