I saw the Holly Days table runner in the book Quilt Lover's Gifts. It also has a 2nd option of this 16 in. table topper.

Well Since I am lazy (we'll discuss this more in detail later), I decided the smaller project was more to my liking.

I made some simplifying modifications to the original design (please note the lazy comment above.)

My favorite modification came in the inspiration of using red buttons instead of cutting and sewing felt berries to the project. It was a huge time saver (again, lazy) and I think it came out so cute. The buttons added a little punch of pizzazz. One of my favorite lazy time-savers to date!
