Hi again! It's Kiki from It's Sew Kiki. I want to share with you just how wonderful I think Connecting Threads' new fabric line, Bookish is. One of my very favorite things to do, besides sew, is to read. I usually read around 2 books a week! There are books stashed everywhere in our house. So when I saw this fabric, I had the perfect little design in mind. I made this little Table Topper for my end table in my living room. I called it Library Card and the pattern is available as a free download from Connecting Threads!
This fabric is just so cute. I love the stacks of books, the Librarian behind the desk and the stamped dates. I'm old enough to remember when they used to stamp the due date on a card in front of the book. Now it's all done electronically!
I also made another little Table Topper that I called "OverDue Books". For this one I have a tutorial up on my blog.
I love the fussy cut center of the Librarian. Doesn't she look like she just wants to "Shhhhhh" someone?
I don't know how they do it at Connecting Threads. They keep coming out with the cutest fabric. I want it all!
I hope you'll channel your inner bookworm and check this fabric out. I think it's a perfect fabric to make some end of year gifts for teachers. Maybe a Table Topper or a set of coasters. Maybe some bookmarks. So many ideas....give one a try!

May 28, 2012 at 10:09 PM Kiera, you are like a forest on fire. You are turning out these new patterns like a wilffire. I just love all the works you are doing. I am trying to get caught up so that I can start with your blocks and make a sampler quilt. Keep up the great work.
May 28, 2012 at 2:30 PM I really like this fabric series from Connecting Threads.
I am just deciding what to order from this group. The table toppers are very cute.
