All Hallows Bash was a fun collection to design. We’ve not had a Halloween group before, so I thought it was a great opportunity to design a fun and bright collection that encompasses iconic motifs like Jack O'Lanterns, ghosts, flying witches, spider webs, and bats! I really wanted to evoke the night time colors of deep Periwinkle skies, as well as bright oranges and greens reminiscent of pumpkins and apples that time of year.
While designing Spook Parade I was envisioning cartoons with creatures and candy marching along in a zombie-like state.
With Witch’s Brew, ghosts are being chased around by feisty witches.
Both these prints make me laugh because I hear music and sound effects as I look at them. Ha! Ann Johnson’s Boo! Table Topper works perfectly here, I just love how the skeletons make the border.
With Creepy Crawlers I love the multi colored webs on top of the striped webbing. I especially love how it was used in Kristin Gassaway’s Through the Seasons Autumn Table Runner as well as the bodies of the pumpkins in Mary Martin’s Spooktacular Row Quilt. It’s just perfect for borders.

If you’re a fan of Halloween I hope this collection makes you smile and that you find fun ways to work with it.
