Introducing my new collection - Soaked!

I really enjoyed designing the Soaked collection, I think it's super cute! I suppose psychologically I was inspired just by living in the Northwest and by the abundance of gray skies and rain we endure. This collection is a fun way to appreciate a rainy day, wherever you may live. I love the colors and how the theme lends for some really cute images. I don't think this group is strictly for kids either, I think people of all age can find fun uses for this group.
Puddle Jumper is a tribute to all those kids who love to make the best of a rainy day, by splish-splashing and jumping in puddles!
I absolutely love all three colorways of Raindrops; I love how simplistic yet fun this print is.
As for Lightning Bolts, I really like how graphic this looks.
Just like in Home Front, this collection also debuts our Laminate fabric. I love that we're offering this fabrication! Sue did a great job designing with the laminates. She made the Toddler Rain Coat, but I'm a little sad because it's kid sizes only and I desperately want one for myself!! Thank goodness her Rain Poncho’s are just as adorable, and that I can make in my size!
I'd love to hear what type of projects you'll come up with! I hope you enjoy!

Sep 20, 2012 at 6:42 PM This is my favorite of your three new collections. I think it is darling and I agree that is would be great for light hearted grown-ups, too!
Sep 20, 2012 at 8:25 AM Linda,
Thank you, yes I'm loving the colors too!
Dolly,
Your words are so kind! I am really so happy you have loved my work and I can't wait to see your Mastermind quilt!
Laurie,
I definitely feel you can use the laminate fabric for chairs and I don't think stapling would be a problem. I would try and keep the staples close enough so it keeps the fabric nice and taught, but otherwise I think it should work fine. I can't wait to see your chairs!! I miyself am planning on making some outdoor cushions for my patio chairs, I'll blog about those when I get them done:)
Ashley,
Thank you!!!

Sep 19, 2012 at 5:57 PM I am thinking of covering some chair seats with this. I would be folding and stapling. Is this a good application for this fabric?
With five grandchildren, I'm looking for a pretty, (which these certainly are!), wipeable surface!
Thanks, Laurie
Sep 19, 2012 at 3:28 PM This is my favorite collection I've seen at Connecting Threads. I love the color mood, and the designs are so different and usable.
I currently am making a quilt for my grandson from your "Mastermind" collection, which is a really great 'manly' collection.
Please keep coming up with these great AFFORDABLE fabrics. I appreciate it so much.
Sep 19, 2012 at 2:50 PM I love the colors. I am partial to blue so I am excited about this collection
