When I first designed Symphony of Blues I never dreamt it would be as popular as it was. And due to all the love it received, we as a collective at CT thought how great that collection would be updated in a new color palette, and reds instantly came to mind! And so Rhapsody of Reds was born (or re-born depending on how you look at it).
When I was playing around with color, it was very important to have this be bright and cheery and to keep as true to red as possible. The difference with blues and reds, are that blues can have a much greater variety of values and still read blue, but red is trickier, it starts to look pink the lighter you make it, which is not what I wanted. So I kept red and went darker where I needed to, as well as adding black into the mix. It seems people love red & white, but also love it with black. I think all in all it worked out really well and there's a nice color balance.
It's so interesting how different this group feels, not better, not worse...just different. I love that!
I particularly love the following prints....
Cartouche in each color-way!
Porcelain Vines, Harmonics, Striped Glaze, Dainty Reds.
It was especially fun to see what all the designers came up with while designing with this collection. There's such a variety of looks and I just love that!
I love Sue's Floating Stars Quilt! It's just so beautiful, light and refreshing!
I also love Mari's Lacey Diamonds Quilt. It's mixes in such a great balance of all the colors within the collection.
I know we just came out of the holiday season, but I think this collection could work really well for Christmas projects, as well as for Valentine's Day. But the fact that it's not a seasonal specific collection, it really can be enjoyed all year round.
So I hope you love and enjoy this collection as much as I do! And it's very possible we'll have even more iterations of it down the line, so stay tuned:)

Feb 2, 2013 at 1:13 PM I too had picked out several kits and extra yardage totaling $187 only to find most of my order gone! Yikes, I was majorly bummed. Hope plans to re-issue are true and that the run is larger to accommodate us all.
Jan 29, 2013 at 7:36 AM Molly,
I am so sorry. Yes, this has been a great success, but it's been a little bittersweet, because I wish everyone could be happy and could get what they want to order. This collection was beyond popular for us. But we will be reprinting, I can't speak to when yet, but it will happen.
As for patterns, if you follow this link you can see what patterns are available.
http://www.connectingthreads.com/cffabric/collection_list.cfm?id=183&show=all
You'll find that by going the the Rhapsody of Reds fabrics, then on the left side navigator is a button that says "Entire Collection"..follow that.
I'm sorry but thank you for your comment:)
Jan 28, 2013 at 7:10 PM I am so bummed. I received a catalog a couple weeks ago and went online to make my first order -picked out some kits using this fabric but nothing was left. Kind of a bummer. Is this usual? I don't even see the patterns available. I used the order form in the catalog to keep track and my order would have been over $100. Sad this didn't work out for me but congrats on your success with this.
Jan 23, 2013 at 1:46 PM I'm glad you love it Sheila!
Jan 23, 2013 at 12:14 PM I absolutely love this collection. Waiting for more to be printed. I ordered some kits and yardage, but need more!
Jan 22, 2013 at 8:04 AM Judy & Georgia,
I'm so happy you love this collection. It's been super popular, hence the fact that prints are already sold out. We do intend to reprint, but I'm not quite sure when that will happen. I hope you were able to enjoy some of it at least!
Jan 20, 2013 at 11:51 AM I ordered a small sample to check the color and color fast quality in the wash. I came back today to order 15 years of 5498 to use on two new quilts, but I discovered it was no longer offered. I substituted other pieces of Rhapsody of Reds but still wish you had 5498 available. Will you in future????
Jan 18, 2013 at 8:35 PM Red AND Black - my very favorite combination - I couldn't help myself - I ordered kits and yards for backings - the red with black Cartouche is Breathtaking. Thank you for the bright red which has ALWAYS been my favorite color - as my family used to say "any color as long as it is red"
Jan 17, 2013 at 9:19 AM I'm so happy to please, Chris!! I hope you were able to get what you needed. And if not, we will indeed be reprinting, but as to when I'm not sure of as of yet.
Jan 16, 2013 at 8:45 PM I have been looking for true and good reds for about 3 years. Thank you Jenni and CT!
Jan 15, 2013 at 10:15 PM Hi Mary & Donna!
I'm so glad you love this collection. And yes, it's been so popular, it's been selling out like crazy. I hope you were able to get something you wanted! But it's quite clear this group is so popular, we will definitely be re-printing it, but as to when exactly I cannot speak to as of yet. But please keep an eye out.
Jan 15, 2013 at 6:19 AM I loved the Rhapsody of Red - now sold out!! Will it be around again? I hate I missed out on such a beautiful combination of color and design.
Jan 14, 2013 at 9:44 PM Wow! Apparently, everyone loves this collection. I was texted twice the day it became available by family but I resisted. Today I went to help my MIL order some and some of it is gone already! Any plans for a second run of it? I sure hope so. It is beautiful.
Jan 11, 2013 at 9:53 AM Thank you Kathi & Bonnie!
Jan 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM Looks great! Good job! I really like your interpretation of the reds.
Jan 9, 2013 at 1:44 PM Hi Kathy,
We have fixed that problem, not sure why you can't open the links? Perhaps try a different web brouser? At very worst, you can just go to our main website and look for the Rhapsody of Reds and look at the "entire collection"...all the links refer back to all fabrics/kits from there. Hope that helps!
Jan 9, 2013 at 1:37 PM I can't open the pictures
Jan 9, 2013 at 12:47 PM Just WOW!
Jan 9, 2013 at 8:46 AM Marcia, Thank you so much! I'm glad you like this collection!!

Jan 7, 2013 at 9:31 PM No pictures showing and the links won't work.
Jan 7, 2013 at 8:37 PM I'm not able to open the links, but I can't wait to see this collection. Love reds!
Jan 7, 2013 at 12:44 PM very pretty line and a great idea to have a red collection without it being seasonal
