The Three Sheep Tote

I'm such a sucker for a new bag pattern. The Three Sheep Tote, made from Saltbox Village, was really a fun one. The tote combines both some simple embroidery with fussy-cut pieces to make a good sized bag that will be handy for toting projects to quilt group, or back and forth to work.

The embroidery worked up fairly fast, and Mari's directions to complete the bag are just super. I might suggest adding a pocket to the inside - I just think bags need pockets!

I always add a pocket to my handbags and totes. I make almost the same size as one side of the lining and then stitch down through the middle, so I can keep my keys or make it pocket size for pens or pencils.

Love it, the "sheep" part drew my attention .... I spin my own yarn and am always looking for a cute tote to carry the roving around.
