Tulip Mini

Five cheery tulips standing in a row,
just waiting for any one to sew.
putting scraps together to help them grow,
will make a nice gift for someone I know.
So, this is my Gifty Galore project for this week. I had fun making the Tulip Mini Blooms Wall Hanging, from Quilt Lover's Gifts, by Fons and Porter. This mini quilt is designed by Leisa Breheny.
The wall hanging is definitely mini, the completed piece measures 17-1/2" by 11-1/2". The foundation pieced Tulips in pots are made from my scraps. The rich blue border is from the Riveria II collection. I was able to finish this project in less than 3 days.
The bright colors make me smile, and think Spring.

You can find the pattern for the Tulip Blooms in the book, Best of Fons and Porter's Quilt Lover's Gifts. It was a fun project to make.
