Join my Quilt-A-Long on our Quilt With Us community. We start tomorrow, Tuesday FEB. 28th!
Each week for 6 weeks, I will walk you through my free block sampler pattern and help you master your points. This will all be guided on our Quilt With Us community. Every Tuesday I'll feature the lesson of the week right here on our NOTIONS blog.

This "quilt-along" began as a tutorial focused on the use of a positioning pin to help maintain sharp points and straight lines within and between blocks with diagonal lines. The scope expanded to include suggestions for precise cutting, pinning, piecing, pressing and trimming, a sampler quilt to practice skills and a Quilt with Us "quilt-along" group with weekly blogs during the National Quilting Month in March, 2012.
The sampler is not a first quilt! It is geared toward confident beginners up to experienced quilters who want to increase the quality of their piecing. Please don’t let the word "perfect" intimidate you! Increased precision, not perfection, is the goal.
- Week One: Download the free tutorial, Perfect Points & the Positioning Pin, and the Perfect Points Sampler Introduction Pattern.
- Weeks 2-6: I will post the instructions for two different blocks at a time.
What are you waiting for? I'd love to have you join our Quilt Along, share discussions in the forum create your own blog, and connect with each other through our personal member pages. You'll be finished before you know it!
-Ann
