Who doesn’t love precuts! They are great to keep things simple as well as quick & easy..
Pam & Nicky Lintott’s new book More Layer Cake, Jelly Rolls & Charm Quilts gives you more great ideas on how to make your precuts do most of the work for you. This is their fifth book on the subject and I have loved them all. The book is broken up into sections to make it easy to find a pattern for a particular precut.
Charms…
layer cakes...
and strips...

Sep 16, 2011 at 1:45 PM I have to say my favorite is layer cake. You can do so much with them and I've yet to see one that I didn't like...

Sep 15, 2011 at 7:03 AM I love jelly rolls. At 2 1/2" width they are ready for dresden plate cutting.
Sep 15, 2011 at 6:23 AM My favorite pre-cut is a charm square. Nice to finish a small project in the midst of a larger project!!
Sep 15, 2011 at 5:32 AM I like strips - am planning to cut my stash up into strips - but love what half square triangles can do, from the charm squares....
Sep 14, 2011 at 10:45 PM I'm a strip kinda girl. Thanks.
Sep 14, 2011 at 8:39 PM I like all pre-cuts, it is a way of receiving a sampler of a quilt line. jelly rolls I use for quilting and crafts (Xmas decorations). I just started a table runner with charms name ( Lil Twister ) a new gadget I just purchased. I recently purchased layer cakes, I am planning a turning twenty quilt, but reducing size of blocks. I wNt more ideas.
Sep 14, 2011 at 7:58 PM I like charm packs. They are the most versitile and fun to do Buggy Barn patterns for stacking.
Sep 14, 2011 at 7:05 PM I love all pre-cuts, but I think my favorite is the Jelly Roll. They all have there special uses!
Sep 14, 2011 at 7:02 PM I think charm packs are "charming" and lots of fun to work with in a quilt. Pam and Nicky's books are full of wonderful ideas, directions and beautiful pictures.
Sep 14, 2011 at 6:51 PM I think the jelly rolls make designing a breeze and so many different things can be done with them.
Sep 14, 2011 at 6:00 PM Jelly rolls sure make a project go together alot quicker....but I love fat quarter packs, too. Decisions, decisions.....
Sep 14, 2011 at 5:31 PM Though I have purchased all 3 types of cuts- I can honestly say I have yet to use them so I am waiting for a book to come along into my life so i can try them out!! LOL
Sep 14, 2011 at 5:27 PM Wow what beautiful quilts. I would have to say that strips are probably my favorite but I love all forms of quilting.
Sep 14, 2011 at 4:36 PM I like the Jelly Rolls, but I love being able to grab a charm pack for a quick project!
Sep 14, 2011 at 4:27 PM Usually I buy fqs, and of the pre-cut choices given prefer charms. Though, would depend upon the pattern as guess sometimes a layer cake or jelly works better.
Sep 14, 2011 at 4:18 PM I just love all the pre-cuts. I can't really say I have a favorite.
Sep 14, 2011 at 4:04 PM I would say strips are still my favorites.
I have been working with other precuts recently - layers, charms and fat quarters, but all my favorite quilts have been "scrappy" quilts made from jelly rolls, or strip bundles. Though, the delight of unpacking a fat quarter bundle is just as fun as unrolling a jelly roll!!
Sep 14, 2011 at 3:30 PM I love the 5 inch charms. They are fun to work with.
Sep 14, 2011 at 3:29 PM I am new to quilting with pre cuts, so I would chose strips, a little easy for us newbies!
Sep 14, 2011 at 3:27 PM PICK ME!!! PICK ME!!!!
i love strips! so fun and easy to use, with so many possibilities!
Sep 14, 2011 at 3:24 PM Having a bad back that severely limits my ability to cut, all three are a blessing to me. I have to admit I find myself more drawn to Jelly Rolls right now. There is so much you can do with them especially when you add them to bigger cuts.
Sep 14, 2011 at 3:17 PM I love the Jelly Rolly's I find there isn't as much waste using them..terry
Sep 14, 2011 at 3:12 PM I love the jelly roll books by these ladies. I don't have this one, yet. My favorite precuts are charm packs, but I love fat quarter bundles, too. Love the photos of the quilts in this post.
Sep 14, 2011 at 2:27 PM I do love Charm packs. They make up quick and fun projects. I've never made anything with a jelly roll, so I don't know if I would love them or not ;-D
Sep 14, 2011 at 2:14 PM I like all three, but tend to lean toward jelly rolls. No miss cuts always the same size.
Sep 14, 2011 at 1:09 PM I have only worked with strips. I would love to try some of the charms and layer cakes - I have some in my stash - but never have any good ideas. Maybe this book would help!
