This contest is now closed! We will announce the winner very soon!
Hurry! Enter to win this festive Dec la Table Runner.
What a beautiful table runner! By the response of you, our customers, I would say you all agree. We sold out of these kits in record time and customer service couldn’t believe the overwhelming response.

When receiving this pattern to sew for our catalog sample I considered the design to be challenging, but soon realized the technique was very simple. Sew the strips of fabric to create a tube and then cut into various widths. Just moving the strips up or down one step at a time created the sweeping curve-and the quilt-as-you-go method was great too. The batik color choices in this runner are bright and festive, and the embellishments to the appliquéd ornaments add sparkle and make them pop off the background. It was so much fun to make!
Now you could win this sewn sample by just answering the question by commening below, “What kind of batik kits would you like to see us offer next year?" The deadline to enter is Wednesday, December 15, 2010 by (11:59 pm PST), so we can ship this to you in time to enjoy for the holidays . I will draw one random winner on Thursday morning. Good luck!
-Deborah
*Rules! Only one entry per person. Must have a U.S. shipping address. No purchase necessary.

Dec 15, 2010 at 10:18 PM The table runner is beautiful!
Dec 15, 2010 at 7:23 PM I have always loved some black in my quilts, it just seems to set off the rest of the colors used. So, so beautiful and so is your festive table runner!
Dec 15, 2010 at 4:15 PM I love the bright colors!
Dec 15, 2010 at 2:13 PM Love the runner--the black really enriches the beautiful colors. Quilted prayer shawls would be a great addition to our active Caring Ministry. Lap robes for wheel-chairs are another needed ministry item. So many patterns look spectacular in Batiks--Ocean Waves, Pineapple--the list is long!!
Dec 15, 2010 at 12:16 PM Did I win yet? I love this bargello runner. At least need to make one, if I don't win it!~

Dec 15, 2010 at 11:39 AM Love this table runner! So festive. I think kits for small projects like table runners (or skinny wall quilts) or lap-size/throws are great.
Dec 15, 2010 at 10:57 AM Don't know where my first one went !
Pick me. Pick me. See how lucky I can be.
Dec 15, 2010 at 9:52 AM Anything looks better in batiks. I know whatever you come up with will be fabulous.
Happy Holidays
Dec 15, 2010 at 9:03 AM I'd love to see batik kits in pastels for baby quilts.
Dec 15, 2010 at 6:32 AM Love the Christmas table runner! Would like to see a lap quilt kit using batiks in fall colors.
Dec 15, 2010 at 4:27 AM What a beautiful batik runner. Living near the beach, I would like to see some batik patterns for beach mats.
My kids would love it/
Dec 14, 2010 at 4:08 PM I'd like to see some more vibrant color combinations with the batiks. The fabrics themselves are so dynamic, I think they should be used together in fresh, bright color combinations!
Dec 14, 2010 at 2:37 PM This is gorgeous. I haven't made a Christmas/holiday item yet and have been very cautious about it...don't want to be too cheesy. But this is absolutely beautiful and I would make it in a heartbeat.
I used some batik in my first lap quilt and I would love to see another design for a lap quilt...I just love it.

Dec 14, 2010 at 11:47 AM I love this pattern. It would also be nice in frosty, icy blues with snowflakes. I love all kinds of batik quilts, but especially smaller quilts. Like table runners or artsy type wall hangings.
Dec 14, 2010 at 10:19 AM Love this tablerunner! Tried to order it, but all sold out-boo hoo!!
Dec 14, 2010 at 8:56 AM I'd like to see a lap quilt pattern that uses different bright colors in a modern way- most of what I've seen with batiks seems to be a gradual change in color rather than nice bright color combos.
Dec 14, 2010 at 8:41 AM I would like to see more small projects from the batiks - table runners, wall hangings, placemats, holiday related. I love the batiks so far and have used them in a few different wall hangings.
Dec 14, 2010 at 8:34 AM - Bargello quilt would be great in batik
Dec 14, 2010 at 8:26 AM I would like to see more tote bag batik patterns.
Dec 14, 2010 at 7:58 AM I would like to see more biatks in different holiday table runners or table toppers, like for Valentines Day, Easter, 4th of July. and others. The method would work for all of them with hearts, bunnies and stars added they could be beautiful
Dec 14, 2010 at 7:26 AM Thanks for asking what we would like to see. Most kits are either the wrong size or color, so I don't often purchase them. Table toppers of any type would be fantastic in various shades of Green. I would love to see a Teal,Dark Brown,Cream bed quilt with the OPTION to purchase enough extra fabric to make it King Size; and of course in a pattern/design that would not be to difficult to enlarge.
BTW - I absolutely adore the Dec la Table Runner!
Dec 14, 2010 at 5:38 AM I would like to see a block of the month done in the batiks.
Dec 14, 2010 at 5:17 AM Love the quilt and the easy to sew idea.
Dec 14, 2010 at 3:22 AM I would love to see more table runners and place mats using batiks with blues and yellows and reds and greens

I would like to see batiks of different animals.
Hope I win.
Thanks,
CeCelia
Dec 13, 2010 at 11:40 PM Gorgeous Tablerunner,Love it!!!
Dec 13, 2010 at 11:02 PM Because the colors in batiks are so gorgeous and varied, I'd like to see patterns based on monochromatic designs, playing with different shades of a given color. And I imagine a values, around the world quilt would be great in a kit.
Dec 13, 2010 at 11:00 PM I also would love applique or childrens quilts--great colors and batik patterns on the fabric for kids.
Dec 13, 2010 at 9:49 PM I would love to see beach scenes. I think they would be beautiful. Think of all those gold & orange sunset colors and aqua & and teal ocean colors.
Dec 13, 2010 at 8:13 PM Love the bright colors - bet it was fun to make.
Dec 13, 2010 at 7:58 PM I would like to see more purse kits in batik and perhaps a bargello purse in batik brights.
I am in the middle of making this runner but not in batiks.
Dec 13, 2010 at 7:53 PM Something nice for a man. Maybe with panels and batik fabric worked around it. There are so many quilt patterns and fabric out there based around women and not much for men. I tried to get this kit many times but it was always sold out. I just finished my fist bargello.
Dec 13, 2010 at 7:09 PM I would like to see more seasonal batik kits that combine traditional piecing with a smattering of applique. I think that the christmas kit is just great. I tried for the kit several times and it was always sold out! Such a beauty, no wonder!
Dec 13, 2010 at 7:00 PM I would like to see some of the traditional patterns using batiks.
Dec 13, 2010 at 6:55 PM Batiks make such beautiful applique. So my choice would be some applique kits. I keep missing my opportunity to get this kit ordered, so would love to win this one.
Dec 13, 2010 at 6:30 PM Since this kit was such a kit you could re-release it next Christmas. Anything in "bright" batiks would be fine with me.
Dec 13, 2010 at 6:29 PM A batik bargello would be pretty cool, especially with the color combinations Connecting Threads offers!
Dec 13, 2010 at 5:55 PM The tablerunner is GORGEOUS! I would love to see a bargello batik kit in pastels for a spring quilt.
Dec 13, 2010 at 5:51 PM I would love to see something done for easter in pastel batiks. Maybe an easter egg placemat.
Dec 13, 2010 at 5:21 PM Since I am a beginner quilter...something easy would be great!! I love the Batiks...Maybe a baby quilt or wall hanger!!
Dec 13, 2010 at 5:06 PM I love batiks and more like this themed for the hoildays or seasons would be great.
Dec 13, 2010 at 5:06 PM Love this tablerunner! I'd love to see more batik table topper kits. I have a small round table that a runner doesn't fit on, so I would love to see a kit that would fit on it.
Thanks for the chance to win!
Dec 13, 2010 at 4:46 PM I absolutely love your fabrics. I would like to see bargello table runners and placemats made with your batik fabrics!!!
Dec 13, 2010 at 4:41 PM I love this table runner! And I love batiks too, any colors, any patterns. I would love to see more quick and easy quilts of any shape or size that look more complicated than they actually are, just like this one. Very dramatic, yet simple to complete. Appliques would work too, or quilts for men, or wallhangings or table runners for all occasions? I'm sure whatever you come up with we will all love. Keep up the good work.
