My love for quilting began in 1993 in my early twenties. My mother and I were working full-time as secretaries at the University of Idaho when we started selling crafts as a hobby. We were vending our crafts at a local quilt show when we got the quilt bug! We soon discovered that designing our own line of quilt patterns was a fun, creative outlet! Since then we have shared many adventures such as designing quilt and craft patterns, teaching classes, owning a quilt store and vending out quilt and sewing shows and expos in the Pacific Northwest. My love for nature has inspired many patterns. Inspiration come from walking along meandering trails, fishing at rivers and lakes, hunting for elusive huckleberries, Sunday drives in the mountains, and time spent talking with God. Simple floral and natural elements fascinate me like the striking beauty of turning leaves, the many green shades of moss on a tree, and flowers wrapped around a shadowing trellis. My desire is to create traditional patterns that look intricate yet are easy to piece. - Lori Eacker
