I absolutely love this book: Embellish Me - How to print, dye, and decorate your fabric by Laurie Wisbrun. As a textile designer it's a fantastic reference and overall guidebook to have in my library. But anyone who is interested in fabric embellishing techniques will highly enjoy this too. She touches on understanding fabrication basics, printing patterns (and the many different techniques in which to do so, from computerized to hand rendered), dyeing and bleaching, and many different types of embellishing techniques such as studding fabric to embroidering. She also gives thorough lists of what tools and supplies you'll need in order to complete each process, which is extremely useful. This book has definitely inspired me with ideas for a new collection!
