A simply pieced block with no points to match, and a windowpane fusible applique technique makes this quilt much easier than it might appear! The quilt can be made entirely by machine, or you may choose to hand blanket stitch around the octagons - the choice is yours! While using dark plaid flannels results in a more masculine looking quilt, this pattern would also be a great way to showcase bright and bold fabrics.
Cleverly combining simple piecing and applique will bring this unusual design together. Rich and warm in our wonderful Big Sky Lodge, this will be a favorite quilt for someone special in your life.
