Reviewer_ID=60041515|With the birth of my son, as well as friends and relatives who have been having babies, I’ve found myself drawn more and more to novelty fabrics. This book gives you great ideas for layouts using various sizes of focal fabrics for quilts and pillows. I have a bag full of my favorite outfits from my son’s infant and toddler clothes to make a memory quilt out of and Island Dreams will work perfectly! I’m sure I’m not the only one who has a sizable collection of large scale prints that I just had to have yet are still sitting on my shelf patiently waiting to be used. This book drastically increases their chances of becoming useful members of a quilt. I’ve had my eye on the prints from the Around Town Collection for a baby quilt and they would look so cute in the Let’s Go Camping pattern. Oh geez, here I go again, adding projects to my already long list of to-dos! The projects in this book are quick, easy, and fun – three adjectives that are music to my quilting ear. Pat also shares her thoughts about each of the patterns and her thoughts on novelty prints as a whole which gives the book a fun, personal twist.
