I love greys and whites and blacks. Anyone who knows me is very familiar with my crisp and monochrome wardrobe. I tend to only pepper my outfits with one color, keeping the rest monochrome. I like order and I like visual continuity. What many people might not know is my house is very bright inside, though decorated with that same black and white spectrum. From rich marigold walls in one room to delicious mint in another, the only white walls we actually have are in the hallway!

As a newbie quilter, seeing Kaffe's new book was a bit of a stun for me. Not only did I fall in love with the beautiful color and print combinations (and GORGEOUS photography), but I actually found myself wanting to see that level of color in my house and not just as a gift for someone else. The mouthwatering richness he portrays in this collection of smaller (and more approachable) projects encourages breaking those self-built walls of what you know you like and allowing yourself to quite literally explore the rainbow more freely. I can't wait to build a fabric pile for especially the floor pillows and the seriously awesome tablecloth.

I highly recommend this book for someone who already loves vivid bohemian combinations and almost more so for people like me who tend to box themselves into any sort of limited color palette. Break your mind a little and try on some new colors!
