Awe, what a lovely book, so well-illustrated, photographed in a log cabin in a wintery scene on a mountain top, I just wanted to be there! Just thumbing through the pages, I wanted to pull up a chair next to the fire with a cup of hot chocolate and start planning one of the many projects I found in this book. Did I say one? Oh let me see, maybe ten or eleven!
There are two quilt projects in this book, one Ragged throw and one Strip throw plus Pillow Cushions that are all suited for the beginner quilter. But what I really liked about this book is the smaller hand sewn projects, some that incorporate applique and quilting. For instance, two of the projects in the book are a Christmas stocking and Father Christmas doll that are appliqued with fine detail and hand quilted. Another project I love, since I am an animal lover especially of sheep, is the toy animals on wheels, sheep and reindeer made with angel wings, twigs for antlers and buttons for wheels, how adorable! There are many more adorable projects in this book, I could go on and on.
If you are like me and like to expand your creativity to other hand projects that include your quilting skills I’m sure you would love this book.
