Scrappy maple leafs, pretty pumpkins, and a perky turkey add up to Thanksgiving fun. The design combines pieced and appliqued blocks (fusible applique) for the best of both worlds. Make tail feathers from "poly-silk" leaves as shown in the sample quilt or substitute appliqued fabric feathers in two styles. Full-size templates included.

Fabric Requirements
Maple Leaf Blocks

• 3" x 30" strip of light print, Background
• Assorted orange and brown scraps, Leaves and Stems

Pretty Pumpkin Blocks

• (2) 7" squares of light background print, Block Background
• 6-1/2" square of each of 3 different orange print, Pumpkins
• 3" square of green or tan print, Stems

Perky Turkey Block

• 16" square light print, Block Background
• 8" square brown print, Turkey Body
• 4" square light brown print, Turkey Head
• 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" rectangle of light brown print, Turkey Breast
• Scrap of yellow or orange print, Beak
• Scrap of red, Wattle
• Scrap of black or dark brown, Eyes
• Assorted "poly/silk" fall leaves (from floral leaf sprays or assorted fall-colored prints for fabric leaf appliques, Tail Feathers

Setting and Finishing Materials

• 1/3 yard light print, Background for Lettering
• 4" x 25" strip of a print in color of your choice, Lettering
