When I first flipped through this book, I was intrigued to read it and do a project from it. I've been keeping my eye out for a quilt pattern that I think will suit my sister, since I plan to make her a quilt once the fabric collections I've designed for Connecting Threads are released. As I started to read this I was pleased to get a refresher course in Design/Color Theory. As someone whose background is in design, it's always nice to look at things with a fresh eye again. I really like how they discussed the fundamentals to help guide you into the right decisions for you and your quilt project. I can't wait to start the quilt "Fashion District"; such a great design, and simple enough for me who's a novice to quilting.
